'Sir you can't park in front of the doors!': Demanding hotel guest refuses to move his parked car blocking the entire entrance, throws a tantrum at the front desk agent

The worst kind of hotel guest is the one who somehow thinks that just because they paid for a room, every single human being who works at the hotel suddenly works for them. Sir, all you are paying for is the bed and some good old-fashioned hospitality, nothing more! Yet somehow, there are enough entitled folks out there who seem to feel an immediate sense of superiority just because they are a guest. Yes, this exists everywhere and not just at four or five-star hotels. I've seen this kind of behavior at a Hampton Inn.

In this instance, the front desk agent knew from the very beginning of his shift that he was about to deal with a very difficult personality. He knew this simply from the way the guest's reservation was listed. He made the astute point that anyone who feels the need to insist upon the prefix of "Doctor" being included by their name for something as minor as a hotel reservation is neither a normal nor a humble individual.

Upon their arrival, the "doctor" and his wife immediately began demanding extra items, from more water bottles to more towels to tissues, etc. It's not like they checked into their hotel rooms and then saw that those items were missing. They just wanted every free thing under the sun. This constant back-and-forth between the guests and the front desk agent did eventually lead to some tense outbursts, but the real trouble began later when the front desk agent noticed that this "doctor" parked his car in such a way that it completely blocked the entrance from other guests. I bet he thought that was something "doctors" could get away with, too.

  • Of course, we have the utmost respect for doctors who devote their careers to saving lives. However, given that we never fully learned what kind of doctor this was, I would like to think that he's an academic with a PHD. This man was all ego, and there didn't seem to be a selfless bone in his body. I suppose we will never know for sure, but I'll tell you one thing: I would not want him as my doctor!
